Eighth grade girls did the wire and concrete work on this piece. The Styrofoam armature was pre-sculpted by Hough. The concrete was mixed by the girls in a wheelbarrow on site. Anyone who has mixed concrete by this method is aware of the hard, heavy work required. The work ethic these kids displayed was amazing.
